Tomatoes

To effectively grow tomatoes, they should be put in a location where they will get at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. You can start your tomato seeds 4 to 6 weeks before you actually plant them using artificial sunlight to help the growth once they are planted. Since the ideal temperature for the soil to plant tomatoes is 60 degrees, your tomatoes should be planted in the spring. It is also very important that we do not crowd the seedlings when we plant the tomatoes. Below is a video that will show you how Dave planted his tomatoes in his garden last year.

One of my favorite recipes actually involves another summer vegetable! Okra and tomatoes provides a great way to get your servings of vegetables and still taste great!! You can find the recipe for okra and tomatoes here.
